Tucker Withers
Director
Tucker Withers grew up in downtown Bethesda, Maryland and still owns his childhood home. After receiving a BS in business from Lynchburg College, he traveled the world. He studied real estate at the University of Maryland and education at the University of Alaska. He returned home to open an antique shop in the early 1970's. This led to a close relationship with auctioneer, Bill Tillett. They became traveling companions, a source of antiques for Tucker's two shops and Tucker clerked for many years for Bill's auctions.
Tucker has a strong interest in history, travel and preservation. He has served on the Board of the Loudoun Museum, Goose Creek Association, Middleburg Community Center and as a trustee for Lynchburg College. He has also been chairman of the Loudoun County Historic District Review Committee, president of the Ruritan Club, Aldie Water Company, Middleburg Museum and the 1600 member Shillelaugh Travel Club.
Tucker is married to Mary Ann who owns Mercer Tavern Antiques. They have three enterprising children and six grandchildren. The family has operated Loudoun County's first bed and breakfast inn, the Little River Inn, for forty-four years.
